The date of this music is uncertain. The Davis Septet was booked for several nights at Paul's Mall in mid-October 1973. One set from October 17 has been issued on JMY ME-6403. My guess is that these sets took place before the October 17 date but after the recording sessions for Liebman's Lookout Farm, which took place at Generation Sound Studios in New York on October 10-11.
Although these shows have circulated for years with the venue as the Jazz Workshop, according to Jim Rose, a member of the Davis entourage from 1972 on, the venue was Paul's Mall. http://www.plosin.com/MilesAhead

Portland rockers Quarterflash in concert at the US Festival at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA in 1983. This set was recorded and broadcast by the Westwood One Radio Network, and was shared with many FM stations across the US (including KROQ-FM in Los Angeles, where this recording is from). Between songs, the announcers for this show listed the many bands and artists that would appear during this 3-day festival, sponsored by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak with help from producer Bill Graham.

A nice FM Broadcast show from Bob's "Never Ending Tour" that began in early March in the Czech Republic and concluded on December 17 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after a total of 116 shows.
Devotion is a hard driving, spaced-out, distorted
hard-jazz-rock album featuring organist Larry Young, drummer Buddy
Miles, and the little known bassist Billy Rich. This album was recorded
close to the period when McLaughlin had been jamming with Jimi Hendrix,
Young, Miles and Dave Holland. Terrible bootlegs exist of some of their
jams, but bad sound quality and McLaughlin's guitar on the fritz make
the bootlegs a ripoff. Devotion was also sort of a
ripoff. To this day, McLaughlin is angry about the way former Hendrix
producer Alan Douglas mixed this record. Apparently, Douglas spliced
bits of music together here and there that were not supposed to be
connected. Despite this obvious problem, and the fact Douglas paid
McLaughlin only $2,000 to record both Devotion and My Goal’s Beyond , this album is chock full of wonderfully ominous riffs and sounds. Devotion is an overlooked landmark album. ~Walter Kolosky - All About Jazz

The story behind this show is that the crowd was rude to "Calamity Jane," the bands guest opening act. The crowd had thrown rocks and bottles forcing "Calamity Jane" to leave the stage. The show started with a long feedback session (not available on any disc). The band screws up many of songs on purpose, including stopping "Smells Like Teen Spirit", 20 seconds into the song and refusing to play it the rest of the night to punish the crowd. Kurt is pissed, and dictates the direction of the show on a whim (he didn't use a standard set list). He screws around with the opening chords to let Dave and Krist know what he wants to play next... including a rare performance of Beeswax. Kurt sings the first verse of "Come As You Are" with hey,hey, hey,hey.. (a hey for every syllable). Dave and Krist get into the action also... Dave plays cymbals jokingly during Polly, and chants "A, E, O" over and over during his and Krist's solo. The entire bass solo is a joke, and the poor Argentinean audience doesn't sound like they know the band is playing with them. The sound is excellent and the show is one that you'll want listen to over and over again. Every collector needs to get a copy of this.
This recording was originally broadcast on WIOQ-FM in Philadelphia, and
marks the band's first U.S. radio concert as well as one of their
earliest stateside appearances.

This event was dubbed "A Concert for Europe", and was broadcast on RAI FM and TV in Italy and other European countries. This recording is from a German FM radio rebroadcast of this concert, with the intro and fireworks at the end added from the Italian TV broadcast.

This free and historic concert, which took place during Pink Floyd's A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, was staged on a floating barge on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, during the traditional Festa del Redentore.
After the concerts at Arena of Verona, Monza, Livorno, and Cava de' Tirreni in May 1989, the Venetian producer Francesco 'Fran' Tomasi proposed that Pink Floyd close their tour in Italy with a free concert in his city on the night of 15 July 1989, during the traditional Festa del Redentore.
Initially it was planned to set up the stage, twenty-four metres high, on the extreme tip of the island of Giudecca, but due to space availability issue it was decided to use some large rafts moored in the middle of San Marco basin, in front of the Doge's Palace.
Counted among the most extraordinary and controversial rock concerts ever held in Italy, it took place on 15 July 1989 on the traditional Redeemer Festival (Festa del Redentore) in the presence of some 200,000 spectators positioned on the banks and boats of the St. Mark's basin. It was broadcast by RAI worldwide with an audience of about 100 million viewers.
The cost of the event was financed with one billion Italian lire by RAI, who broadcast the concert worldwide and simultaneously in the two Germanies; the rest of the expenses (several hundred millions lire) were covered by Pink Floyd themselves. It is estimated that worldwide, the concert was watched by 100 million spectators, 27 million of them in the United States (where the event was broadcast on cable for the price of ten dollars). This CD compilation, given away free with the UK newspaper The Mail On Sunday, features superb artwork specially commissioned by Peter Gabriel on both the card sleeve and the CD itself. There are 6 tracks which fans of Peter will find value in (with the rest being standard album tracks).
The Tower That Ate People and I Have The Touch are both lifted from various artists soundtracks are presented in re-mixed form, while the closing 4 tracks are live performances.
