BBC recording session at the Paris Cinema Studio on 4/01/1971, for John Peel's In Concert show on Radio One, in front of a lucky crowd of 400. The group was originally booked on 3/25, but were forced to reschedule due to Robert Plant experiencing throat problems.
****
The reason why "BBC IN CONCERT"(2CD)(PEOPLE'S CHOICE/FSS 99-005) was
selected as No.1 is that it contains "Whole Lotta Love" medley, which
had been cut from every boot and official "BBC SESSIONS" (including the
FM broadcast in Japan in 1995 or 1996). The "Whole Lotta Love" medley,
which had been cut in every "BBC SESSIONS" (including the FM broadcast
in Japan in 1995 or 1996), was recorded without any cuts.
Even if this was a pseudo-completed version that had been edited
together (the editor-in-chief of Boot Poisoning, who has probably
listened to this medley the most in the world, could not find any trace
of editing even after thoroughly investigating the suspicious parts and
had to admit that it was uncut), it is such an amazing editing, It was
also recognized as the first complete recording of the most famous and
most booted live performance in ZEP boot history in its 28th year.~zoso_ledzep4_yy@guitars101

Saved from our former home, the long dead blog: Nargo the Borts Deviant Subculture!
Ladies (if we have any that follow us) and gentlemen I present to you "The Doors" of country music The Louvin Brothers. Jim Morrison, in this case is played by Ira Louvin. These are some of the things Ira did. In a drunken haze called his mother a "bitch" to which Charlie (the smaller one) proceeded to beat the shit our of Ira. Ira tried to strangle his third wife with a telephone cord which earned him six bullets 4 in the back, 2 in the hand. Called Elvis a white n-word which cost them in the long run when E never recorded any of their songs. Coming onstage (drunk), told his audience "Who let all these fucking drunkards in?" When he couldn't tune his mandolin would simply destroy it on and off stage. Born into poverty in Alabama with an abusive father that beat them relentlessly but a mother who taught them about singing. I could go on talking about their album titles "Tragic Songs Of Life," "The Two Sides Of The Louvin Brothers," "Satan Is Real" which the cover designed by Ira with a statue of Satan (which the brothers built) and fire and brimstone that almost got out of hand and fried the brothers. Loved by Gram Parsons, Emmy Lou Harris, Marty Stuart and many more. The irony of Ira dying in a car crash caused by a drunk driver while Ira had a warrant out for a DWI. Charlie going to the crash site and finding Ira's mandolin, (that Ira had built) without a scratch. And many many more harrowing tales. You should look into their career. Also if you're a fan of country music and not the bullshit that goes around calling itself country music you'll love this. One more thing about the commercials on this post, my broker advised me to buy stock in "Pet Milk" (look it up) and every time you buy a can, give it a mention, or pour it from the packet I get a residual. So I figure in a couple of weeks I'll be rolling in it and I can give up this shabby hobby once and for all. See Scans
Finally after all of your patience and waiting I'm getting around to posting this. Word of warning though, this one doesn't sound as good as Volume 2. Some of this is just for pure historical content. When have you ever seen a boot that had "EXP" and "UP FROM THE SKIES"? So with that in mind, here is VOLUME 1. See scans

**Original Notes** This is the 99th upload of my concerts collection recorded in Lyon (France) between 1982-1990. All my concerts were recording for Radio-Bellevue and Zap FM, so we have had some technical facilities to record these shows.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds were recorded for Zap FM at "le Truck" in Lyon (France) and it's a pre FM recording. I've used a totally separate 24 tracks sound desk to mix live the band with a multipair cable from the "box" on stageand a couple of ambiance mikes mixed on-the-fly onto a hifi video tape recorder in the Zap FM studios. I have had some problems for the beginning mix cause we don't have any soundcheck before...receive my apologies for that.
