DeleteA possible original source for this is NBC's The Source #83-41 "The Hollies Concert" with a broadcast window of October 14, 15, 16, 1983. This was a 2 LP set for syndicated radio broadcast. The set list matches exactly...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, draftervoi. It's entirely possible that you are correct. I just used what info came with the download when I got it. There are a few different dates/venues that pop up for this show. For instance, if setlist.fm is to be believed, this show was actually played at the Timberwolf Amphitheater in Mason OH. (But I find setlist to be unreliable, sometimes). Thanks for trying to track the source down. Strong work, my brother.
DeleteYou're welcome. While it's usually just a waste of time, I've started running a quick Google search (also Ebay...) to see if there are tickets or posters from the show. There's (apparently) a whole new world of ticket stub collectors out there (Is a Wrestlemania II ticket really worth $100.00?!). I checked and didn't find anything for this Hollies show, though!
DeleteYou know, It never occurred to me to search for tickets/stubs. Not a bad idea, drafter. I have to wonder if, in this case, there was a separate ticket for the Hollies concert or did admission to the amusement park get you in to the show on that day.
DeleteOn the Wrestlemania II ticket...I wouldn't pay $100 for one. Now my Brother-in-Law...that's a different story.
Don'#t see many of these around, so very grateful for sharing. Cheers
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it diamonddave. Enjoy.
