And it makes me wonder...

This is an Oddity to me, anyway...
I've read a couple reviews:
One said it was Odd and Strange - The Other called it Killer!
You're gonna have to decide ForYourOwnSelf!

Anyone remember Santa Esmeralda? They had a Big Disco Hit with "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" (made famous by The Animals)...Sometime around 1977-78. The Original LP Version was a touch over 16 minutes long!

Well, To me this is quite similar...
Only it's Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and "Whole Lotta Love," together with some Originals on the Flip Side.

      The lady had some hits in the Netherlands and was also known for being one of the oldest playmates of the month in the Dutch edition of Playboy.

      That was local Bay Area band Little Roger & the Goosebumps doing "Gilligan's Island (Stairway)." The Gilligan's Island Theme lyrics set to the music of "Stairway To Heaven." Brilliant stuff...unfortunately Zep's management didn't see it that way and threatened a lawsuit, forcing the withdrawal of the single.

    Deep down in the Flanders fields in Belgium where I was born. As teenagers in the seventies, boys should listen to heavy rock like Rory Gallagher, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Frank Marino. It was also allowed to listen to a little prog music such as Mike Oldfield, Genesis, Caravan and others. What was totally prohibited was to listen to, appreciate or just mention to your friends in the neighbourhood acts like Boney M, Bee Gees, Grease or the Rubettes. So yes, you wouldn't dare to buy a Santa Esmeralda or Patrick Juvet's Où sont les Femmes (check it out on Youtube) LP. I had to wait years later to buy them in a secondhand market. Because these were nice too but I was too young to admit it. Nowadays, I can annoy my children with a live record from Donna Summer or Demis Roussos when they're invited for a BBQ. And will definitely try the Wonder Band's cover of Whole Lotta Love.

    Big Zep fan and I liked it! Some great musos like Ray Gomez. The only let-down was the nasty transitions between tracks. It's clearly meant to be all one piece, so I'm gonna go hunting. Cheers...Andrew
