I Still Miss Warren Zevon! What with his witty and intelligent songwriting and sense of humor - he was truly one of a kind!
This Live Bootleg is from 1978 - and for some reason or another You don't see this one circulatin' around the net like The Record Plant show from the same year...
I personally like This one from Park West in Chicago 'cause of the Energy! I mean it's the same songs but there's somethin' more here... It says Soundboard on the Back Cover, But it's Clearly an FM Recording!
NOTE: You also get to hear the First Commercially Available Electronic Drum: the Syndrum made by Pollard. Like in Good Times Roll by The Cars and Feel Like Makin' Love by Bad Company, just to name a couple familiar examples. The Syndrum was capable of Many Sounds BUT mostly Only One was Used!
Warren and his band: Waddy Wachtel - lead guitar, Stanley Sheldon - bass, and Rick Marotta - drums, Rock and Roll through some now Classic Songs...
Sleep Well Warren...

All the best from sunshiny Sunday in Paris
Derek, I remember hearing "The Sound" it made on records and was in a music store in the late 70's and saw one on display. Listen to Feel Like Makin' Love by Bad Co at about the 2:40 mark and You'll hear "The Sound" many bands were tryin' out 'cause they got them Free from Pollard to Promote Syndrum...
DeleteThis was wonderful to hear. Thanks for the post.
