I've had the privilege of seeing this band twice in my lifetime during this period. There isn't much I can say about this show other than un-fuckin'-believable!

Recently I found a version of this at TUBE and realized it being a shorter version than mine I recoded way back then in the 90ies when DLF (Deutschlandfunk) broadcasted it - 90 min on a weekly base.
The
TUBE version comes from the Beep, where they obviously broadcasted it 5
times only 60 min, so ... there's some missing on their version what
mine offers.
Hating cuts you have to deal with recording then with tapes (CD recording wasn't an option) I prefered my stereo VHS-recorder, LP mode audio only, so a 240 min tape had place for some 480 min, no cuts, very fine quality (then in relation to tape recordings...), source was my satelite, audio subchannels for german broadcasting stations. So excuse the clicking at the start, that's just the VHS recoder not really fine-tuned to the VHS-tape-material. I promise: after one track the clickings will go away. But from time to times there's maybe some little clickings ... VHS material isn't made for eternity.
That recordings were about the first I digitalized with my PC, burned them (CD recording went a common tool then) and kept them as .WAV. My first .MP3 version (recently posted at Voodoo Waggon) was of lower quality and didn't really catched the attention this wonderful event deserves (imho - to me it was more of a holy grail in my record collection like my version of Live Aid in 1985 that I've managed recording even being on a very fine acid some american deadheads sent to us those very very very nice days ... before some idiot invented f###book )
So I copied the one-track versions to my PC and recut and recoded them. I let the .FLAC version untouched as it was but I re-gained the .MP3. So you have the chance, if you're crazy like me sometimes with stuff like this, to optimize the sound - if the record's being normalized that'll work not well, so that's why I left the .FLAC untouched.
Good Work & give a sign, if you've done that work ;)
I'll post now on a daily base the entire 5 days of "Guitar Legends" and start with

*BIG THANKS TO LA MUSICA e VITA FOR SENDING THE LINK FOR THIS SHOW Normally I thank the poster who put the show up originally. However in this case (and to answer a question I received a while back) What I do, is go to Youtube find a show then I go to Youtube to mp3 converter site (listed here (https://ytmp3.cc/en13/) download the show I want, then using Roxio (I think Goldwave has the feature too) I go into the edit audio where there I split and label the tracks. It's very time consuming (but hey being in lockdown) Anyway I can't sing the praises of these guys enough. Looking at the traffic for the other show at the Wagon at least there are 200 of us that like these guys. But that's enough of them for a bit. See scans I'M NEVER GONNA WATCH CHANNEL 13, EDUMACATION AIN'T FOR ME
I remember visiting Berlin in 1980 (enclosed by a wall then) with my
actual girlfriend Dorothe. Standing at the train station, expecting a
long-haired redhead hippie-friend but being welcomed by a short blue
haired punk. At his home he played a record I instantly felt in love:
the first Motels. When we left Berlin his goodbye gift was this
longplayer, but he liked to keep he cover - so this is my sleeve of it
Saturday
night BBC6 played a classic concert of their 1980 show at Bradford
University reminding me on that visit and old friends

One of my all time favorite LP's is Mountain's "Flowers Of Evil" I am blown away by the live improv of "Dreams Of Milk And Honey" on side 2. Corky Laing's drumming, is a motherfucker. That song has all the best elements of Cream's "Spoonful" from "Wheel's Of Fire" This is not a bad recording, of course it's not studio, cause then it wouldn't be a boot. There are a few dropouts in the second version of "Dreams Of Milk And Honey" and an abrupt ending, for all I know they may still be playing the song as I type this. Now if you're not familiar with "Flowers Of Evil" might I suggest you go and find it now. See scans
This is not my rip and it's audience "only", but I think, it's the perfect choice to present one of the most influencual bands from Germany
My first encounter with them took place at the famous "Beatclub" and it was kinda surreal to see these guys handling their electronic tools - and mixing them with "real" instruments. Futuristic?
The opinions were very divided. Then ...
And then there was the legendary Rockpalast show
And then they became famous and created a "catalogue" they*ve played completely in eight days in 2015 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam
